A TRIBUTE TO THE BLUES - New Film & Live Show, Paddy Smith and his Band

Paddy Smith feels and plays the Blues like no other. He is one of Ireland's best Harmonica players and along with his wonderful four piece Band, they are sure to mesmerise the audience with a great night of musical entertainment. A must see Show.

Paddy Smith is an amazing harmonica player with a style all of his own. His influences no doubt include his time in the USA, where he played in the famous House of Blues in Chicago and an unscheduled gig in the city's Cook County Jail, where Paddy was once detained! "I suppose we all need a a story for the grandkids!" explains the affable Navan man. The lyrics are simple but catchy with " Poor Me" just the first of 12 brilliant compositions from the musician, originally from Silverlawns in the town. "Let those Blues in" "Hard Times" and "Come home girl" are really songs of the highest standard with an excellent fusion of blues, pop and techno! Producer Alan "Minty" Smith does a top class job in the local studios in Finian's Terrace. Paddy bases the lyrics on his true life experiences and dedicates the album to his daughter Ciara who died in 2010 from cystic fybrosis.
