Simon mcBride is the guitarist for Deep Purple's Ian Gillan and guitarist/co-writer on Don Airey's albums Live at the Barrel Venue Jan 15th 

Simon has not only toured but recorded three live albums with Deep Purple iconic singer Ian Gillan. Simon also plays for Don Airey (Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore, Rainbow etc). He has recorded two studio albums and one live album “Live in Hamburg". There is a third studio album due for release late this year in 2021. 

Simon has toured extensively across UK and Europe with Don Airey over the last few years selling out everywhere they play, The band features Don Airey, Carl Sentance (Nazareth) Laurence Cottle (Black Sabbath, Alan parsons) Jon Finnigan (Gang of Four, Ian Gillan) Dave Marks (Robert Plant, Hans Zimmer). This is indeed Rock Royalty. His guitar skills (“Among the best blues-rock players anywhere in the world” GUITARIST magazine) made him a go-to guitarist on the rock scene, admired among professionals and endorsed by some of the biggest brands like PRS Guitars, Victory Amps, Boss Effects and Daddario Strings. 

A fully-fledged rock virtuoso, Simon has toured with Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa and Grammy nominee Derek Trucks. Simon was recruited by the Belfast-based pioneering metal band Sweet Savage, who reformed in 1994 and toured and recorded two albums with them one of which is the highly acclaimed Killing Time (Metallica fans will know that song) He also toured for 6 years with Andrew Strong of The Commitments fame. 

Simon's eagerly awaited new album on Ear Music is set to release in September 2021. You will hear songs from that album as well as songs that he has toured throughout his incredible career. For fans of live music, this is a night definitely not to be missed.
