The Stonecold Hobos are a rhythm 'n' blues band with a modern electric twist.

The Stonecold Hobo himself (Martin Cummins) is described as a ‘slide guitar wizard’.(Wexford Echo, Sept 2014), his sound reminiscent of delta blues players from early 20th Century.

Hobo plays a ‘Newbridge cutlery box’ guitar which he designed and built based on the 'cigar box' guitars currently undergoing a revival in the US.

The band have songs playlisted on Radio Nova's 'Off The Record' with Pat James, Dublin City FM's 'After Midnight' with Noel Casey, LMFM's Clár Smidiríní Show with Áine Ní Chaibhre and various UK and international blues radio stations.

Their distinctive sound is a mix of Zeppelin, Rory Gallagher and ZZ top with a strong hint of Muddy Waters. Their energetic live set comprises original material and re-interpretations of lost blues songs.

Genres: Blues-rock, Slide Blues, Blues, Harmonica Blues Band Members: Martin Cummins - slidelead guitar, RnB suitcase, vocals., Noel Cummins - blues harmonica., Shane O'Brien - bass guitar., Mac The Drummer - drums.

This band is a powerful live force and will have you Rocking as if you are sitting on a Mississippi paddle steamer during the golden age of Delta Blues in the 1920s.
