We know how frustrating it is when an event you're looking forward to is cancelled or postponed, so we'll let you know as soon as a cancellation or postponement is confirmed to us by the venue or event organiser. This notification will be sent to the email address you provided while purchasing your ticket.
Sometimes it's not possible to reach everyone when an event
is cancelled at the last minute, but we'll do our best to inform you and to
make sure the venue or event organiser takes every possible step to let you
know before you head out.
If an event is cancelled we usually refund & cancel the ticket automatically, if it's postponed tickets are usually valid for the new date.
What if I can't make it?
We know things come up and sometimes you can't make it along to the event you've purchased tickets for. In these instances we'll do our best to arrange a refund if the event has not yet taken place. We CANNOT refund after the event has taken place.
Please do not re-sell your ticket. It's not fair on the
artist, venue or event organiser who has invested time, effort and money in the
event, and we won't be involved in it. We reserve the right to withdraw your
tickets if we suspect you've resold them - your booking will be invalidated,
the person trying to use the tickets will not be permitted entry to the venue,
and the ticket will not be refunded.
Can I transfer my ticket to another event or date?
We're afraid this isn't our decision. As we sell tickets on
behalf of the event organiser or venue we let them decide whether to accept
ticket transfer requests. Seems fair, right?
Please feel free to contact us should you require a
ticket transfer and we'll contact the event organiser or venue on your behalf.
If they authorise a ticket transfer, and we have tickets available for the
event that you would rather attend, we'll process that for you. Should your
preferred ticket option be more expensive than the one you currently have, we'll
need to charge you the difference in ticket price.
Please note that should the event organiser or venue be happy for us to transfer your ticket we can only transfer to an event organised by the same event organiser who listed the event that you currently hold tickets for.
I just bought tickets, but I'm not sure if my order has gone through.
Don't panic - and don't order again until you've worked out
whether the first transaction went through successfully.
The easiest way to check whether your transaction went
through is to click on ‘reprint tickets’ enter your reference number & the
email address used while purchasing the ticket(s), from here you can see details
of the ticket(s) you've bought and re-send confirmation emails to yourself.
If you did not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam or junk mail folders as it may have been filtered there. To make sure you receive important emails from us please add tickets@ticketstop.ie to your Contact List or Safe Sender/White List.
Please note that successful booking references will always begin with a 'E' and look something like this: E2822986
Do I need to print my confirmation email?
No. Simply make a note of the information in your
confirmation email - especially your booking reference - and take it with you
to the event you've booked for.
By not printing your confirmation email you are reducing the carbon emission from your ticket(s) by over 40 times.
Do my tickets come in the post?
We DO NOT POST tickets.
We also email you confirmation of your booking, along with your reference number, shortly after your order & payment has gone through. However, the booking reference itself, along with some ID, is all you'll need to gain entry to the event.
What ID do I need to bring with me?
We recommend you make sure you have ID with you when attending any event. Any official ID, (driving licence, Garda / PSNI ID or passport) either with a photo or signature should be fine. If the venue needs you to bring anything unusual we'll specify this in your confirmation email.
You will also need proof of age or concessionary status, if applicable.
My order didn't go through but you have taken money from my account!
Don't
worry, we're not trying to rip you off - if your order has failed but it
appears that the money has already been taken from your account you may be
experiencing a 'shadow' of your transaction, or 'amount pending'.
In
these cases your bank or card issuer has allocated funds from your account to
pay for your order with us, but when the transaction fails we do not receive
the money - and it's our policy not to try and claim the money again after a
failed transaction.
Since
the transaction failed, this amount will not be taken from your account and
will be reset by your bank or card issuer. Typically this can take up to 5
working days. You should see on your bank statement that these amounts are
subject to approval and may not be charged.
Can I resell the ticket(s) I bought from you?
We're
not happy about people buying tickets from us with the intention of selling
them on. It's not fair on the artist, venue or event organiser who has invested
time, effort and money in the event, and we won't be involved in it.
If
you're thinking of doing so, please think again. If we suspect anyone is
attempting to use our reallocation system for the resale of tickets we will
invalidate the booking, and you - or the new ticket holder - will be refused
entry to the venue and the ticket will not be refunded.
But
we know you're all good girls and boys really, and wouldn't want to do that
anyway.
I'm worried about fake ticket sites. Is Ticketstop.ie a real ticketing agency?
Yes,
Ticketstop.ie is a legitimate primary ticket agency. We work directly with
event organisers and venues, who allocate us a number of tickets to sell at the
face value price - we've never sold a ticket above the face value price and
will never do so.
We launched in 2008 as e2music, a ticketing website for an established music
& entertainment chain of retail stores, in 2012 the chain closed and
e2music/ ticketing website was bought by management and rebranded as ticketstop.ie.
Like you, we're not prepared to be ripped off, and you won't find us auctioning off tickets to the highest bidder. All our tickets come directly from the venue or event organiser and are offered to you at the standard price for that event, with some of the lowest fees in Ireland & UK.
We pride ourselves on being an approachable company. All our contact details can be found in our contact us page.
Do you sell vouchers?
Unfortunately
we don't currently sell gift vouchers for events on Ticketstop.ie, though we
hope to in the future (because we know what a great gift they'd make too!). We
would recommend that you contact the venue directly to find out if there is
anything they can do to help.
Are you going to pass on my email address to other companies?
Nobody likes being spammed, including us. As such, we know how frustrating that can be and would never consider passing your details to third parties.
Do I pick up my tickets at the venue?
Our tickets are slightly different. Rather than sending a
physical ticket to you in the post we give you a unique booking reference which
is displayed on your screen once you have purchased your tickets.
We also email you confirmation of your booking along with your eticket
shortly after your order has gone through. However the booking reference
itself, along with some ID is all you'll need to gain entry to the event
Can I have a refund?
We're happy to refund your ticket in the following circumstances:
(a) An Event is cancelled;
(b) An Event is moved to another date and you decide not to retain your Booking for the rescheduled Event; or
(c) Details of an Event are significantly changed after an order is placed (significant changes being a change of headline act, venue, date or time).
We cannot refund your ticket after the event has taken place. If you are unable to attend the event please contact us in advance*
*Some event organisers may only allow refunds in certain circumstances which are usually stated in the event description
Please do not resell your ticket.
How does Ticketstop.ie work?
Our tickets are different.
Instead of sending them to you in the post we email you an
eticket with a unique booking reference which is also displayed on your screen
once you've paid for your ticket(s).
We will email your eticket with booking reference shortly after your order has gone through, however the booking reference itself, along with some ID, is all you'll need to gain entry to the event.
Do Ticketstop.ie charge booking fees?
Typically all fees to cover our costs associated with your
transaction - including card charges, staffing, VAT, affiliate commissions, our
office overheads and ongoing technical research and development are included in
the face value of the ticket
There are no hidden charges and we don't add a separate
"transaction fee" to your order - we like to keep the process simple
and as transparent as possible.
We pride ourselves on having some of the lowest booking fees in ticketing business & if you are interested in selling tickets with us please do contact us!
How can I pay for my tickets?
We use PayPal the worlds trusted online payments company to process all payments.
You can pay for your tickets using a wide range of credit or
debit cards. We currently accept: PayPal, Visa Credit, Visa Debit / Electron,
MasterCard and Maestro. Unfortunately we can't accept payments made by cheque,
Cash or American Express.
We use a secure payment server to process your payments, which ensures that all transactions are as secure as possible.
Can I pay over the phone?
We don't have a telephone ordering line - and this is one of
the ways we're able to keep our booking fees low.
We're confident our online booking system will work for everyone; if you have any specific queries about the event or the venue we would recommend that you try to contact the organiser or venue directly. Most contact details can be found at the bottom of each event page.
Payment difficulties ?
There are lots of reasons a transaction may fail, often to
do with settings on your own computer or browser, or the network you're using
(especially if you're using a work or public network, such as one at an
internet café). As such, it can sometimes be difficult for us to determine why
a transaction has failed.
One of the main problems people can have is with their
cookies settings - so, please make sure your browser is set to accept session
cookies.
If you are repeatedly having difficulties purchasing tickets
on our site we would suggest trying the following:
Close all open browser windows, open a new browser window
and try again. We have found that sometimes your session can time out and get
"locked"; this will help unlock it
If that doesn't work and you have access to a different
browser, try again using that. Each browser has a number of different security
settings that can sometimes cause problems. (We recommend Firefox as the most
reliable browser but our site does work with all major browsers)
If your transaction still fails and you have access to one,
please try buying the tickets on a different computer. Sometimes, for example,
if you're trying to buy tickets at work, your company may have a firewall in
place that is preventing the transaction being processed. Using a home computer
can help
What does 'not currently available' mean?
If an event is listed as 'not currently available' it means
that tickets are no longer on sale through us. It's possible though that there
may still be tickets available through the venue box office or other agents,
and we suggest you contact the event organiser for more information about
ticket outlets.
If 'no tickets are available' is displayed, this means that
we have sold out of our current allocation of tickets, but the organiser hasn't
formally taken the event off sale. This may mean that the event organiser will
go on to allocate more tickets to us. Alternatively, there may well still be
tickets available through the venue box office or other agents, and we suggest
you contact the event organiser for more information about ticket outlets.
If the event is listed as 'Sold Out' then unfortunately we
are out of stock and will not be allocated any additional tickets.
Concessions / Reduced price tickets?
We don't set concessionary policies ourselves - they are at
the event organiser or venue's discretion, and therefore vary from event to
event.
If the event page you're looking at doesn't specify who is
eligible for the concessionary tickets we'd advise trying to find this out
directly from the venue or event organiser - unfortunately, it's unlikely we
have any more information than is displayed on the event listing.
If you buy a concessionary / early bird ticket please make sure that the person using that ticket is eligible for the concession; if you can't prove this you will be asked to pay the difference on the door or refused entry, in which case we can't refund you.
I can't find the event I'm looking for - do you have it on sale?
All of the events we have on sale are submitted to the site
by the event organiser or venue directly.
If you can't find the event you're after but have seen some
marketing materials where Ticketstop.ie is listed as the ticket outlet, we'd be
happy to look in to it for you. To help us do that, drop us an email and let us
know some or all of the following information where known: the act appearing,
the event date, venue, the promoter and where you saw the event advertised. Alternatively,
you could try and contact the venue directly for more information.
Do you have more tickets for this event?
If the event is listed as 'Sold Out' then unfortunately we
are out of stock and will not be allocated any additional tickets.
