Donal O'Connor & Matteo Cullen play live in McAuley Place Arts & Culture Centre on Friday 13th October at 8pm. 

Donal O'Connor: 

 Having spent his working life as an Environmental Health Officer he has recently retired and lives with his wife in the shadows of the Curlew mountains in North Roscommon. Despite working fulltime he made space over the years to record three albums of original songs, tour the Folk Clubs of the UK extensively, tour Germany on a number of occasions and performed occasionally in Spain, USA, Australia and New Zealand. 

Matteo Cullen: 

Matteo Cullen is a musician, recording artist and teacher currently based in Durrow, Co. Offaly. He has lived in Ireland, Italy, the Middle East, Japan, and the UK, as well as travelling throughout Asia, Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean. These experiences, interwoven with unique life circumstances, have shaped his musical interests and style. Matteo performs a range of original songs, reflecting the diverse elements of his musicality, including reggae, jazz and blues, Irish traditional and country music. He has recorded and released three albums, and is currently working on a new collection of songs. He also holds a doctoral degree in Irish popular music history.
