Arguably, the gigs of the year so far at the thriving Barrel Venue in McHugh’s have been the debut appearance of Ireland’s latest supergroup, WHEN IRELAND ROCKED, back in February and their follow-up gig there in June. 

Well, the good news for aficionados of the trailblazers and pathfinders who brought modern Irish music to worldwide consciousness and put it on the global map, is that WHEN IRELAND ROCKED are back with another show on Saturday, 15th February, 2025. 

The band focuses on a golden era, from approximately 1973 to 1987, celebrating the bands, musicians and songs from a time When Ireland Rocked the world. 

Featuring the virtuoso guitar skills of Pat McManus (ex-Mama’s Boys), outstanding vocals of Cormac Neeson of The Answer fame and a supporting cast of ace accompanists Chris Carney, Brendan Reaburn and Jimmy Brennan who have seen service in some of Ireland’s most prestigious cover bands and tribute acts of the last decade or two.
